Concrete Lifting
in Edmonton
Sunken concrete? Don't replace it. Lift it.
Concrete replacement is expensive, disruptive, and rarely necessary. If your slab has sunk, settled, or shifted, concrete lifting restores it to its original level in a matter of hours — at a fraction of the cost of tearing it out and starting over. No heavy equipment, no extended curing time, and no mess left behind.

WHAT IS CONCRETE LIFTING (MUDJACKING)?
Concrete lifting, also known as mudjacking or slab jacking, is the process of raising and re-leveling sunken concrete slabs without tearing them out. Our team drills small two-inch access holes and injects a specially formulated grout beneath the slab. As the grout fills the voids and lifts the concrete, we re-establish the correct level and grade, then fill the access holes to leave a clean, finished surface.
The result: a stable, level concrete slab in hours, not days.
WHY CONCRETE SINKS
- Soil erosion beneath and around the slab, removing support over time
- Moisture fluctuation: wet and dry cycles that expand and contract the soil
- Freeze-thaw cycles: Edmonton winters are hard on sub-base soil stability
- Improper compaction: common in newer homes where soil wasn't packed before the pour
- Water pooling: poor drainage softens the soil, which can no longer support the slab
Sunken concrete never corrects itself. Left unaddressed, the problem worsens — and the risks increase.
THE RISKS OF UNEVEN CONCRETE
- Tripping hazards: Even a small lip or unevenness can cause a serious fall
- Water drainage issues: Sloped or sunken concrete can direct water toward your foundation
- Worsening damage: Cracks, shifting, and subsidence progress over time
- Reduced curb appeal and property value
LIFTING VS. REPLACEMENT
Concrete Lifting
- Cost: Significantly lower

- Best For: Structurally sound slabs with soil failure
Concrete Replacement
- Cost: High
- Time: Days to weeks
- Disruption: Major
- Result: New slab poured
- Best For: Severely cracked or deteriorated slabs
Not every sunken slab is a candidate for lifting. We’ll assess your concrete honestly and recommend the most appropriate solution.
