The eco-friendly, durable surface that transforms driveways, patios, and outdoor spaces.
Donnelly Developments, formerly Armour Floor Coating, specializes in professional rubber paving for residential and commercial properties throughout Edmonton and the surrounding areas. If you have cracked, worn, or aging concrete, rubber paving is one of the most cost-effective and visually striking ways to resurface it — without the cost and disruption of full replacement.
WHAT IS RUBBER PAVING?
Rubber paving is a flexible, durable surface system made primarily from recycled rubber — including post-consumer tire material. Mixed with a polyurethane binder and applied over existing concrete or asphalt, it creates a seamless, cushioned, slip-resistant surface that is environmentally responsible and built to last. Available in a variety of colour blends.
WHY CHOOSE RUBBER PAVING?
- Eco-Friendly: Made from recycled materials, reducing landfill waste
- Flexible, Won't Crack: Moves with temperature fluctuations and resists cracking even through Edmonton's freeze-thaw cycles
- Safe and Slip-Resistant: Cushioned surface reduces fall risk; ideal for stairs, entryways, and areas used by children or seniors
- Low Maintenance: Resistant to mould, mildew, and UV degradation; no sealing required
- Long-Lasting: With proper installation, it lasts for decades with minimal wear
- Curb Appeal: Available in black, charcoal, brown, terracotta, and custom colour blends

THE RUBBER PAVING PROCESS
- Surface Preparation: Inspect and prepare the existing surface. The base must be clean and structurally sound.
- Material Mixing: Recycled rubber granules blended with polyurethane binder and, where applicable, EPDM colour chips.
- Application: Mixture applied by hand, troweled to a consistent depth, and shaped to correct grade.
- Curing: Surface cures to a firm, seamless finish. Curing time varies by temperature and humidity.
- Final Inspection: Our team inspects for consistency, finish quality, and edge detail before handover.
